Greg Barnes and Alan McGreevy formed Q.A. Pty. Ltd. in 1997, to channel their wide experience in the Australian forest, timber and building industries into a range of consultancy services for natural resource and primary industry producers, and for downstream users of their products. QA’s services and expertise include:-

• Design and management of quality control programs for timber products and manufacturing processes, including ISO 9000 certification support
• Timber industry communication and liaison - technology transfer, interpretation and adaptation of research and development outcomes
• Drafting timber specifications and assisting with timber sourcing and compliance for infrastructure projects

• Government liaison, responses to government studies and papers, preparing government grant applications
• Technical research and evaluation, such as thinning trials, plantation assessment and management advice, sawlog degrade in bushfire salvage harvest operations, landed log cost studies, log storage systems, sawlog quality and sawmill recovery studies
